SERVING AT OPCC

Evergreen is our volunteer ministry at OPCC and we are here to help you understand your gifts and how God is asking you to use them. People who serve play an essential role in keeping a church strong and healthy. People who serve generally grow spiritually as they connect with other believers.  That is why we value service at OPCC and we encourage everyone to find a place of service within our fellowship. What follows are many opportunities where you can begin to plug in. To find out more read the descriptions and complete the volunteer application to begin the process. You may select more than one area of interest. Once your application is submitted someone will contact you asap. Thank you for serving at OPCC!

Creative Arts Team

If you enjoy being behind the scenes and creating incredible worship environments the tech team is the place to be. Our tech team members provide audio and visual support for the weekly worship experiences at OPCC as well as running our live stream broadcast. These team members serve during rehearsals and on Sunday Mornings on a rotating schedule.

Worship Ministry

Worship is meant to bring glory to the Lord. If you have a heart to lead people in worship, and can sing or play an instrument, we would love to have you sign up to talk to our worship pastor about next steps.

OPCC Kids

If you love to have a great time and really enjoy spending time with kids then OPCC Kids is the perfect place for you. Some team members serve in teaching roles and others serve to create a fun environment. These are the play dough years when an incredible impression can be made on kids for Christ. OPCC Kids volunteers serve Sundays on a rotating schedule.

OPCC Youth

If you loved your teenage experience and you are still young at heart then OPCC Youth could be just the opportunity you are looking for. OPCC Youth is our Youth Ministry for students 5th-12th grade. They meet Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm at the church and sometimes off site. Volunteers are expected to arrive early and stay a little late in order to be able to interact with the students. Volunteers will also attend events and retreats throughout the year.

Host Team

If you love to smile and make people feel welcome and comfortable then the Host Team is the perfect place for you to serve! Host Team members greet people as they arrive and help them to connect within OPCC.

This team serves on Sunday mornings on a rotating schedule. Opportunities include: Front Door Greeters, Bulletin Greeters, and Floating Greeters.

Facility Teams

If you enjoy working with your hands, have a servant’s heart or are a handy person, this could be a great team for you! From small remodel projects around the church, keeping the building in good working order, and keeping up with the campus landscaping, our Facility Teams are all about improvement and upkeep!

Opportunities include: Landscaping, Facility cleaning/upkeep, Building repairs/maintenance.

Coffee Bar

If you love coffee and making people feel welcome then the coffee bar is perfect for you! There are three positions within this ministry to serve. The CASHIER, who welcomes guests and takes orders / The FLOATER, who assists the barista and delivers orders // The BARISTA. who crafts the beverages and keeps the drinks coming. This team serves Sundays on a rotating schedule.

Element Team

This team is full of know-it-alls. The element teams focus is being the point people for all questions and information that anyone needs! From information about an upcoming event, getting involved in a discipleship group or even answering questions about what it means to give your life to christ, our elements team is a safe and informed group who wants to provide you with answers and a clear pathway to next steps. This team requires next level participation but offers a deeply rewarding role in our church body.

Breakfast Club

Simply put, the breakfast club is a team of volunteers who helps provide breakfast for our many volunteers on Sunday mornings before our services begin. This is an early morning crew that serves each Sunday morning at 7am.

Prayer Ministry

We believe prayer is the catalyst that transforms lives and multiplies ministry. At OPCC, we want to train each person to pray extraordinarily, so that the power of Jesus flows through every follower and ministry.

Opportunities available include: Intercessory Prayer Group, Youth Prayer Group, Missions Prayer Group, Sunday Morning Prayer Team.

Missions Ministry

We believe that the Church exists because God has a mission. At OPCC, we desire to equip everyone with a kingdom perspective and practical tools that allow us to partner with God in seeing peoples from all tribes, tongues, and nations redeemed through Jesus.

Women’s Ministry

OPCC Women’s Ministry exists to glorify God through prayerfully planned activities and events which promote spiritual growth and authentic friendships. Join us for Bible study, retreats, coffee gatherings, service activities, game nights etc. There is something for everyone and a place for YOU here at OPCC. Join us!

Men’s Ministry

The OPCC Men’s Ministry seeks to connect the men of the church as we live life together. We strive to provide opportunities for fellowship and relationship building through Brobashes, Wednesday morning Bible study, and other events.

Care Team

As a church, we believe that the world will know that we follow Jesus by the way we love and care for one another.

The CARE Team serves the body in many ways including:

  • Praying for the people of OPCC

  • Providing meals after significant life events

  • Connecting those in need of pastoral care or counseling with care providers

  • Assisting with tangible/material needs like paying a bill, finding OPCC members who can assist with projects or provide needed services etc.

  • Helping those searching for a job to network with potential employer within OPCC

  • Facilitating mentor relationships
