Missions at OPCC

“Missions exists because worship does not.” ~ John Piper

This truth fuels the heart behind missions at OPCC. Jesus is worthy to have every tribe, tongue, and nation worshiping before His throne (Revelation 7:9), and because of that, we believe the Church is called to go. We go because there are still those who have not heard, still those who do not know Him, and still places where worship has not yet risen to His name.

Scripture reminds us that pure religion is to care for the orphan and the widow (James 1:27). Our desire is to serve Jesus by being His hands and feet in a world that is desperate for both the hope of the gospel and the help of God’s people (Matthew 25:31–46). As we follow His leading, we believe He is calling us to restore the streets and repair the breaches (Isaiah 58:12) in our community, our nation, and around the world.

Missions is not just a program at OPCC, it is a calling for the whole church. Because of that, we pursue missions together through three simple but intentional ways of engagement:

Pray - We ask the OPCC body to pray faithfully for every missions effort, seeking God’s blessing, guidance, and power in all that we do.

Give - We invite the OPCC body to give generously so that the work of missions can continue locally, nationally, and globally.

Go - We challenge the OPCC body to step out in obedience by participating in missions projects in our community, across the nation, and around the world.

Will you join us?

Meet Tony & Denise Marshall and hear the heart of our Missions team.
Denise and Tony help lead the Missions Team at OPCC with a shared passion for helping people live out their faith through service and mission. Their heart for missions has grown through years of ministry involvement, volunteering, and serving both locally and internationally, including partnerships with ministries such as Haiti. Through these experiences, they have developed a deep conviction that following Jesus means actively loving and serving others. At OPCC, their goal is not simply to lead a team, but to help the whole church find meaningful ways to participate in God’s mission through prayer, giving, and going, so that everyone who calls OPCC home has an opportunity to live out their faith in real and practical ways.
