Discipleship and Adult Ministries Pastor
At OPCC, we’re passionate about creating a community where people can grow together in their faith and walk with Jesus. The Discipleship and Adult Ministries Pastor will be at the heart of this mission, working closely with our Lead Pastor to nurture spiritual growth and discipleship across the church. This full-time role is an invitation to lead people into deeper relationships with Christ and with each other, helping our church thrive as a place where faith comes alive.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Lead Discipleship Programs
Dream up and implement discipleship strategies that inspire growth for individuals and groups across all ages.
Champion discipleship, discipleship groups, and spiritual growth initiatives, making them vibrant and life-giving.
Recruit, train, and cheer on leaders who are excited to guide others in their faith journey.
Cultivate Leadership Development
Invest in discipleship group leaders by mentoring, encouraging, and equipping them to lead with confidence.
Create meaningful training opportunities that energize and support leaders in their ministry roles.
Provide Pastoral Support
Be a steady source of spiritual care, prayer, and encouragement for our church family.
Show up in moments that matter, offering wisdom and compassion to those in need.
Connect and Engage Members
Help people take their next steps in faith by connecting them to discipleship opportunities that fit their journey.
Be a visible and approachable advocate for discipleship, inviting everyone to experience the joy of growing together.
Collaborate with Staff
Partner with the Lead Pastor and church team to align discipleship efforts with OPCC’s vision and mission.
Play a key role in planning and participating in church-wide events that celebrate spiritual growth and community life.

Experience in ministry leadership, with a knack for helping others step into their calling.

A collaborative spirit—you’re a team player who enjoys working with others to make great things happen.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Theology, Ministry, Christian Education, or a related field.
At least three years of experience in ministry roles focused on discipleship or small group leadership.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
